Top notes: black cherry, cherry liqueur, bitter almond. Heart notes: griotte syrup, Turkish rose, jasmine sambac. Base notes: Peru balsam, roasted tonka beans, sandalwood, vetiver, cedar. Perfumer: Louise Turner. Year of release: 2018. Lost Cherry is a cherry brought to the state of temptation: not a fresh berry from the market, but a dark, ripe one, infused with liqueur. The scent is built on contrast — playful and candy-like on the outside, dense, warm and not at all innocent inside. It is precisely this contrast that made it one of the most famous scents of the Private Blend line. The opening is juicy and slightly heady: black cherry with cherry liqueur and bitter almond sounds like a dessert for adults. Then the cherry thickens into griotte syrup, and Turkish rose with jasmine sambac adds floral depth to it. And the base of Peru balsam, roasted tonka beans, sandalwood, vetiver and cedar envelops with a warm, resinous-woody sweetness that holds the cherry right to the finale.
